We've Got Candy! Daily Candy Masthead Added to Directory [05.30.07]
We expect a lot of people will be looking at this masthead this week. Daily Candy's editoral staff list w/ contact info has been added to the directory!
Plus we posted their 2007 editorial calendar and demographics at the end of the masthead.
This one has been a major request for a long time, and we finally had enough info to post a good masthead. But the work is not done! If you know a new Daily Candy staffer, or one who has left recently, be sure to post your special knowledge in the comments section and we'll update it asap!

Slender Tennis Players Don't Sell Mags? [05.30.07]
Andy Roddick, coverboy of Men's Fitness, is confused and tickled by how his naturally toned arms all of a sudden became muscle-man guns on the cover of Men's Fitness. He wrote this in his blog:
"I'm not as fit as the Men's Fitness cover suggests . . . Little did I know I have 22-inch guns and a disappearing birthmark on my right arm... I saw the cover for the first time when I landed after Rome . . . It was pretty funny . . . Maybe Rafael Nadal wants his arms back?"
Not everyone thinks it's funny though. Neal Boulton, ed of Men's Fitness, has been the target of AMI head honcho David Pecker's wrath for presenting this false image (yeah, like it never happens...).
By the way, we think they bubbled up his chest and neck. The boy does not carry that much bulk--he is a tall & lean athlete!
Pecker is now, according to the NY Post, also blaming Bonnie Fuller for not catching the inflated-Mr.-Universe look, and critizing the fact that she comes in after noon everyday. Fuller pointed out to Page Six that she works mostly on the women's mags and is the last one to leave every night.

Welcome Back from the Weekend Coma--We've Got COOL, NEW STUFF! [05.29.07]
Happy Post-Memorial Day Weekend...
We're sprucing up the site with a whole new set of COOL TOOLS this week.
First on the agenda is a sparkly, new job board that we're calling The Editorial HR Station! Bookmark the link here: http://jobs.mastheads.org and check back often for new listings if you're an editorial guy or gal on active hunt for a new position.
Next, we will be unveiling a new "Worksheets" section on the site, with free, printable paper goods that will help you keep track of your pitches/queries, systematically follow-up with editors, and keep your editorial worklife a little less erratic.
We also beefed up the Sports section in the mastheads index and we'll be listing the new masthead titles here shortly. Plus, we're cleaning out some of the old 2006 mastheads from last year and refreshing them for you.
And finally... just wanted to let you guys know:
WE BROKE 400 MASTHEADS TODAY!! We are officially at 405 mastheads.
And BTW, did you know we have a total of 1,116 CURRENT & PAST ARCHIVED MASTHEADS as of today? Holy crap! How did that happen? We are so eager to reach our goal of 600 by the end of the year (maybe sooner at this rate).
Keep sending/faxing/e-mailing those new mastheads in. Got Real Simple Travel tossed under the bed in your egg crate apartment? Send us a PDF or fax it over!
